This page explains how to have your Rohn.ag account deleted, exactly what
goes, what we have to keep for a while, and what we cannot reach. It
applies to the Rohn.ag app and to Rohn.ag on the web — they are the same
account.
To ask us to delete your account, email
support@rohn.ag
from the address you sign in with, and say whether you want
just your login deleted or
the whole farm and all its records.
We reply within 2 business days and finish within 30 days. You do not
need the app to ask, and there is nothing to pay.
Deleting is permanent
There is no undo, and we cannot rebuild a farm after it is gone.
If you only want to stop the texts, reply STOP to any message from us or
clear the box in Settings — you do not have to delete anything. If you
just want to stop paying, tell us that instead and we will sort it out
without touching your records.
Your login and your farm are two different things
A Rohn.ag farm can have more than one person signed in to it — you, a
partner, a son, a hired man. Everyone's fields, plans and notes live in
the farm, not in any one login. So there are two different requests:
Delete just my login. Your login is deleted outright.
It is gone, not disabled or frozen, and it can never sign in again.
That takes your name, your email address, your password, your mobile
number and your text-message consent record. The farm's records stay,
because they belong to the farm — but your name comes off the work you
did, and nobody can sign in as you.
Delete the whole farm. Everything below goes, for
everyone on that farm. Because this wipes out other people's work too,
we only do it when the request comes from the farm's owner — that is
the account whose role shows as owner on the Settings screen,
usually whoever set the farm up. If you are not sure whether that is
you, ask us and we will tell you.
If everyone on a farm shares one login, then that login is the farm.
Deleting it deletes the records too, and we will say so plainly before we
do anything.
What we delete when you delete the farm
Your fields — boundaries, acres, and the soil facts we pulled for them.
Every season on those fields: what you planted, your populations,
varieties, sprays, fertilizer, tillage and your yields.
Everything synced from your John Deere account — planting, harvest,
spray and tillage records, and the maps that came with them.
Files you uploaded yourself, and the maps we drew from them.
Your soil tests and the results.
Your scouting notes and photos, including whatever our photo reading
told you about them.
Your plans, prescriptions, irrigation records and field markers.
Your costs, prices and anything you corrected by hand.
Every login on the farm, and everyone is signed out.
Photos and the original map files live in two places — on our server and
in our offsite file storage. Both copies go. The offsite copies are
removed by hand as part of your request, which is one of the reasons we
do this ourselves instead of putting a button on it.
What we keep for a while, and why
Backups, up to 30 days. We take one encrypted copy of
the database a day and keep roughly the last 30 days, so a farm can be
rescued if something breaks. Your records sit in those copies until
they age out. We do not restore a deleted account from a backup, and
the old copies are removed as they expire.
Anything you sent to support. If you sent us a problem
report, we keep what you wrote until the matter is closed and then for
180 days. Automatic crash records are kept 30 days. Say the word in
your request and we will delete those too.
Your invite code. The one-time code that let you sign
up stays marked as used, with the email address it was issued to, so
nobody can use it again to get into Rohn.ag.
Payment records, if you ever paid us. We and our
payment processor keep what was paid and when, because tax and
accounting rules require it.
What we cannot reach
Your John Deere account. We delete the copy we hold
and drop the keys Deere issued us, which stops us pulling anything
further. The originals stay in your own John Deere Operations Center
account — they are yours, and only you can remove them there.
Anything you already exported — a file you downloaded,
a prescription you sent to a machine, a report you printed.
What happens while you wait
Nothing changes until we do the work. Your account keeps working
normally, and you can change your mind at any point before we start —
just reply to the same email. We will tell you when it is done.
